How to get a copy of a police complaint?

Hello,
Recently I came to know that my Brother in law is big fraud. His ex-girlfriend had filed a complaint against him at a police station and I got the complaint number but can’t get a copy of it.

How can I get the copy of the complaint legally?

I’m planning to file a cheating case against my BIL as well.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It is possible to do this only informally. Lawyer here, based in Delhi.
