May 8, 2025 at 8:26 amHi guys,My father had a LIC policy in my name ( bless his soul ) and now it has matured and the LIC agent called me. But my name somehow is mentioned XYZ ABC there while my name is ABC XYZ.
The LIC agent told me to get a first class magistrate affidavit declaring that both name belong to the same person as my other details with LIC are good.
Where to get such affidavit in Bangalore as I would be going to my home state for months?
Thank you.

May 8, 2025 at 9:05 amYou don’t need a First class magistrate certificate for this. You just need a notarised certificate. Go to any notary public, they will have the format and you’ll have to give your affidavit on a 10 or 100 rupee stamp paper (don’t exactly remember which one was it). They shouldn’t charge more than 100 for it, plus the cost of stamp paper. In my case, it worked for the LIC policy.
