How to make someone pay bills

So, I am a final year college student and share a flat with 4 other girls. There’s this girl who asked the owner to cut the rent amount from her deposit till the end of the contract. But somehow she got into a fight with the rest four of us (due to some other reasons) and vacated the flat without informing the owner. Later on we got to know that some amount will be cut from our deposit during vacating the flat as maintenance charge. But since her whole deposit amount is cut as rent, she doesn’t have any amount left to cut her part of maintenance amount and it will be cut from our part. Now we will inform about it to her parents but somehow we think that her parents won’t pay this. Is there any way we could do this legally without creating any fuss?

Legally, you can not do anything on this.
It is all messed up. Better speak with her parents and get the money.

If you are the owner, you could send notice.

Since you are also a flatmate, you will waste more money into legal fees. I would rather speak nicely with her parents and get it done.
