You can try these methods even if you don’t have a cloud backup or if you’ve already checked your file manager for WhatsApp images.Use Notification History (Android only) If you have Android 11+:
Follow this before software approach —–
Go to Settings > Notifications > Advanced Settings > Notification History.If enabled, you can read deleted messages seen in notifications.
(If not enabled, use third-party apps like NotifLog or WAMR to store future messages before they’re deleted.)
Otherwise use the followings softwares, These tools often offer free scan and preview, but recovery requires a paid version.
A. Dr.Fone โ WhatsApp Recovery (by Wondershare)
Works on: Android & iOS
Steps:
1. Download and install Dr.Fone on your PC from drfone.wondershare.com.
2. Open the tool > Select “Recover” > Choose “WhatsApp Messages Recovery”.
3. Connect your phone via USB.
Enable USB Debugging (Android) or Trust the PC (iPhone).
4. Click Start Scan. The tool scans your device for deleted WhatsApp data.
5. Preview recoverable chats, photos, videos.
6. Select what you want and click Recover to Computer or Restore to Device.
Note: Rooting may be required on Android for deep scan.

B. iMyFone ChatsBack โ WhatsApp Recovery
Works on: Android & iOS
Steps:
1. Download from imyfone.com.
2. Launch the app > Choose recovery mode:
Device Storage
Google Drive
iTunes
History Records (if scanned before)
3. Connect your phone > click Start.
4. Scan and preview deleted messages and attachments.
5. Click Recover to save them on PC or restore to WhatsApp.
Bonus: Lets you extract chats from Google Drive even without reinstalling WhatsApp.

C. Tenorshare UltData โ WhatsApp Recovery
Works on: Android & iOS
Steps:
1. Download from tenorshare.com.
2. Open the app and select WhatsApp Recovery.
3. Choose your platform (Android or iOS).
4. Connect your device and follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Scan for lost messages (can include group chats, photos, stickers).
6. Preview and selectively recover messages.
Note: Android may need USB Debugging or root for best results. But dont root your device without proper setup.

Important Tips:
Always avoid using your phone heavily after deletion (prevents overwritten data).
Enable WhatsApp backups regularly in the future.
