SThis evening I came back from the office to the co living space I live in. I took the lift to my floor from the ground floor along with another lady who took the lift to her floor.
Her floor was earlier than my floor. It was just another lift ride for me. We did not talk or interact. I was using my phone the entire time.
She later complained to reception that I touched her inappropriately and she told me not to. Both these are fabrications. I don’t know why would she do that.
The co living staff came to my room and told me about this. I told my side of story but there’s no camera in lift and it’s basically her word against mine.
I know laws in India favour women in absence of evidence and now I am shit scared. What should I do?

IAvoid crossing path with this woman. And don’t bitch about this incident to people who live in the building. It may backfire. She may get to know about it and then make further allegations on you

SI am trying my best to think and I have no answers. There is absolutely no reason. We didn’t talk. I was using my phone. I leaned to the wall. There was a gap between us.
I am too scared to be with any woman in a lift now. I’ll always wait for more people even if I’m getting late. This advice applies to all men out there.

BSignal is public and lift in building is private. There must be a reason for everything:
1) is she trying to extort money? Should be a reason for this.
2) is she trying to implicate all males? For this too there must be a reason.
3) is she having personal animosity against you?
4) Was she a known person and something didn’t work out?There has to be a reason for all this, it’s just not clear now.
If OP has no link to her then better contact people who she was visiting that day? If she is resident then try to know more about her to get her motive for this act. Again, we only know one side of story for now.

I was wearing a merch that said a name of a corporate program. It is public knowledge that this program pays well, (6 digits a month)
But I really don’t think extortion is the case tbh. Because this is an expensive place to live in. I don’t know I am just hoping at this point.2. No idea on this.

My female friend is saying she did this to get her bf attention. But I don’t know this is just speculation.
