I am a moneylender who gave someone money for one month against gold in 2021. He never paid interest. Now claiming back item.

I gave rs 12k in july 2021 against some gold item for 3% monthly interest. He needed it for one month but then kept delaying without paying any single penny in interest. Now he is saying to return back the item and asking to charge simple interest and not compound. I gave him plain slip without any name and address but mentioned that it is for 1 month and principal amount with interest rate and He hasn’t paid any single interest till date. What to do?

Depends on proof, do you both have proofs 🤭? If not just sell the gold and let him delay it further. NAL btw but I guess that much is obvious
