I feel to get a licensed gun

I live in an area which I very near to miscreants people who can do anything to anyone without any fear. The environment in country might accelerate things in wrong ways.

Is it possible in any way to legally possess an arm license?

Thanks for the info, had this same thought myself too. One question though, can I carry it wherever i go? Like vacation or something but outside of my city? Just to be safe on road and in different city while I’m there?

Yes, you need to apply for it and if issues you may carry an arm. But again, area would be mentioned as to where you can carry it.

Getting it takes a few months, shooting it cancels it immediately and a few months to prove it was self defence. Not worth the hassle, I’d suggest alternatives

Why don’t you start with pepper spray, or even a brass knuckle, then graduate from there to tasers etc?

Legal firearms in India have lots of restrictions, probably not worth the hassle.

Self defence argument in India is a joke.
