UI got tricked into paying 5040 to Lenskart for 2 eyeglasses and a gold membership(i wasn’t informed about the price of membership while payment). I’ve been trying to get my full refund but they tell me they can only give partial refund as the “membership gold” is non refundable.
The membership costs 840.Edit: I spoke to the store, it seems I’ll be getting my refund in a few days. I’ll update later(when it happens)

RAlways enter the stores with predetermined mind that I just want xyz thing and I’ll leave. I also went through all the tricks in lenskart but came up with only what I wanted.
These days marketing and sales has higher budget than quality and service. It’s hard to undo things once done.

RFrames are good but you can find them in other stores too. Be very careful about glass and coatings. Lenskart will usually offer an ordinary glass and other option would be costly branded glasses.

UDude, 3.2k for pair of specs(minor powered, <0.5 both sides) at lenskart, went to my hometown, got similar design offered at 1.4k.
This was further negotiated, down to Rs. 700.
The shop keeper, still earned his margins(which are apparently THIN) and gave a 2 year warranty on lenses.Lenskart has designs and that is pretty much it, IMO.

RTry your luck.
Always remember, the society is brutal, hence most of us can’t afford to be less careful. Pro Tip: stay away from those extra discount 5%, 10% coupon , discount code. Their terms and condition will eat your brain and energy. put your mind in stable simple life that earns you enough to not care about offers/membership

UTell him that you were tricked into buying this. And raise a complaint that you want to retun both the membership and the lens.
Taking Lenskart’s gold membership for free or less than Rs 10 via people coupons
Use the mobile app to identify offers and the brands and how much they cost
Do the permutations via the app and keep that in cart.
When you buy from them they will apply some methods which will show a higher amount. Tell them that you were able to get the same in the amount as per the app they will follow and give you the same.I brought 2 spectacles with non free lens + sunglasses for 4.5 to 5 k.

UAh, sorry… I didn’t update.
I tried filing a complaint in the consumer court and waited it out.
Also got into a lot of heated back and forth arguments with Lenskart (on phone and also at their store). Finally they gave me my full refund.
This process took around a week. The whole time I was concerned about them stalling me till the expiry date in their refund policy.
Luckily I got my refund (I am greatful).
