I have my mom’s name as my surname instead of my dad’s

I’m a minor and i’m applying for a passport. My dad came in and said that there might be an issue because i have my mom’s name as my surname instead of my dad’s in the birth certificate and pretty much all of my documents. Will it cause any problems?

Not a lawyer but I don’t think it will make issues for a passport but might be an issue for middle east visas and rp

Why don’t you write an email to embassies and passport office rather than asking lawyers

NAL, but as long as all your documents have the same name there shouldn’t be any issue.

Your name is what you have put in birth certificate and other documents.. Problem will only arise if you decide to change it in your passport application.
