April 30, 2025 at 1:31 pmBought a pair from store, got it delivered to house by paying product cost + 40rs extra. They said 40rs is convenience fee/ delivery fee.pair turned out to be ill-fitted, when to store again to get it exchanges, they said i have to pay 40rs again.
My point is if it is an exchange then why do I need to pay 40rs again in the name of convenience, exchanges or return are part of the customer experience.
please help me with process of consumer court case

April 30, 2025 at 1:42 pmA lawyer here.
There comes a time wherein you must realise if an action is worthwhile of not. Yes, you can go to consumer court. I believe NCRCD website has the templates and performas needed to file the complaint. But I would say donβt. The cost would be more than recovery. And if you want to use it as a βslapβ on Lenskart, then you might not succeed. I guess they also have a fair case that they can make for charging a fee.
Donβt use Lenskart next time.-

April 30, 2025 at 1:45 pmI get your point but what fair case do they have, they are selling a product with a promise of exchanges or refund, I want to exercise that right, how can the company block me indirectly to exercise the right by putting up a fee barrier-

April 30, 2025 at 2:45 pmLegally speaking they are not blocking you. About the indirect block as a result of seeking a cost, it will be decided basis the cost itself. There have been cases wherein a fee of Rs. 5 has also been called illegal, but there were additional reasons for same. Here, Iβm not sure if those argument can be made.

April 30, 2025 at 2:32 pmDon’t use lenskart. There are far better and cheaper local optician stores who sell at 1/10 price. -

May 1, 2025 at 6:57 amkadhva sach sunke hazam nahi ho raha shayad koi na aap apne fridge ki 1 month purani mooli khaao. Btw mere bolne ke tareeke me kuch galat nahi tha koi gaali nahi koi galoch nahi nothing. Just said what I saw and then gave you the relevant info you will need to file the case. People wont do the entire homework for you and give you a summarised way to file a case and win it (not everyone has it this lax in life). Go search this sub on how consumer cases are filed, browse em, read em and follow their advice. then spend quite a lot of time in compiling all the evidence and making your case bulletproof. Then wait while your 40rs decreases in value due to inflation or maybe u get lucky and lenskart throws you a bone and waives off the 40rs best of luck π

You wonβt be getting enough satisfaction in such cases and this will take your enough time and money

April 30, 2025 at 9:05 pmUmm, did you check the size before you place the order. I believe every frame has a specific size chart to it based on its shape. If the exchange is just of the size, but the item is the same and it is available in the store, there shouldn’t be any extra charge.
But if the item you want now is different and you want to get it delivered to your home again, i believe the extra 40Rs is justified.
Just an opinion, you may not agree with me.

May 1, 2025 at 1:05 amyes the fit check with demo pieces was done, after putting my thick lenses, it couldn’t take the weight and starts falling, and now the store guys only suggested get it exchanged so yes I don’t agree with you in anyway
I already paid 4k for this product, if lenskart cannot manage its cost within that and needs to depend on 40rs more than surely they need to look back at their business
