March 9, 2025 at 12:58 pmHi, I was forced to open their ICIC Direct Account for stock trading when I opened my salary account in 2022. They informed me that there are no charges for the ICICI Direct account but I was charged 300/-in 2023, so I opted to cancel the account and transfer all the shares to Zerodha. Now, I received a payment reminder for the same. When I checked, the amount was also deducted last, even though I submitted all the papers to close my Direct account and received a confirmation mail from them saying my account is now closed and shares are transferred.
I’m fed up, first, they opened a Direct account saying it was free but I was charged, I had 2 SIPs in that account without my knowledge (I stopped this and transferred the stocks to Zerodha in 2023). Even after closing the account, I’m still being charged, yet I get no resolution. Is there any way I can take it forward.

March 9, 2025 at 1:15 pmIt is possible that your trading account is closed, but demat account is still open. They may need a separate closure form for demat-
