March 3, 2025 at 4:35 pmBasically the title, If I mention explicitly for no consent to call recording, and then discuss something self incriminating, would I be safe? -

March 3, 2025 at 4:46 pmI doubt that.
Bcz they can easily edit the recording.-

March 3, 2025 at 5:08 pmHey, thanks for replying, you are correct an I did initially considered the issue of editing and came up with a plan.I will record the call as well, just as the evidence of me not consenting to be recorded. So, even if they show case the call with editing recording, I can prove that it is edited.
Also, if they cut out the part, the recording would become slightly less be seconds, so it could also prove the recording is tampered in bad faith.
Unless I am missing some important issue with the plan? That’s why I thought asking here might be the correct move first.

March 3, 2025 at 11:34 pmIt could be claimed that you just added the additional few seconds into the shorter original recording?

March 3, 2025 at 4:50 pmAs far as I know 1 cannot record a conversation bn 2 and 3.
However 1 can record without consent any conversation as long as one of the party is 1. Eg. Bn 1 and 2 or 1 and 3-

March 3, 2025 at 5:34 pmYou can only record conversation you are part of (you made the call, or you received the call). Not of two other people.
P.S. I am only repeating what he said in more common words. I dont know if it is true or not.

March 3, 2025 at 6:43 pmA few days back, I got a random call for loan offering. She said that the call is being recorded for training and quality purpose. I said that I don’t want to talk on recorded line, she ignored and continue her pre recorded loan offer. -

March 4, 2025 at 3:57 amYou can record a conversation you’re having. You cannot record a conversation that 2 other people are having. Besides, if you’re worried about self incriminating, criminal cases are hard to prove bro. Give it like 3 years and you’ll be acquitted. All you need is a good lawyer who will hire an “expert” to give evidence. And any doubt from there on is good for you. The conviction rate in india is abysmal. -

So, to answer your question, no.
