I’m a central government employee and someone find case of manhandling against me

Initially (6 months before), the matter was reported to the local police station, and after discussion, I offered an apology which was accepted by the complainant, and the matter seemed to have been settled. However, I have now come to know that the same person has filed a case in court regarding the same incident, and the police have begun a formal inquiry.

He is digging gold because you are a central govt employee. Talk to him , ask the price , settle the matter. Be careful

I’m ready to do it because I’m likely to get another government post. But he’s not compromising or i don’t know how to settle this and this is my 1st job I’m just 24
