BI was searching for house i cam across one house that i really liked and was in my budget (55L) i was gonna surprise my family. I made agreement with the seller 1L as token given to him then few days later he asked for more and said he will adjust it later in final payment i paid him 60k +10k . Now in total of 170k after few days he got sick and we could make the deal happen. Then me and my friend started looking for other properties then only i find out that property is not worth 55l and also land rates are way cheaper in that area. Also my car wasn’t not fitting inside the house porch properly. I cancelled the deal now he is refusing to give my money back i have screenshots of money transfer and that 1L agreement. I am sole earning member now and it was my savings from 3-4 years of working i was about to take home loan.
What can i do to get my money back

BYou are cancelling deal from your end after giving token amount. So, you are unlikely qualify to get any refund.
Do you have any written agreement stating what happens if deal doesn’t progress?

PIf you break the deal, usually your advance get forfeited. That’s sellers right. When you closed the deal, he may also refused to accept other offers. So thats the cost you have to pay
