March 5, 2025 at 11:32 amHey guys, I want to import and airsoft gun with attachments in India
A crossman DPMS SBR, it’s regular price is around 20k but sellers in India sell it for over 1lakh, that’s why I want to import it
Do I need any license to purchase it for collection purposes?
The rifle uses .177 caliber which is legal and has a muzzle velocity under 3 Jules which is also legal.
Some help regarding this would be appreciated. -

April 26, 2025 at 1:27 amFor me, I came across some heavy regulations. People I got in touch with said anything that looks and functions like a gun/weapon will be heavily scrutinized. No anecdotal evidence, but you need to transport it like an actual firing gun, keep all documents on hand and depending on the country you’re flying from you might need a separate permit as well. If you’re purchasing the airsoft gun abroad and plan to bring it to india, it’s kind of a hassle.
Not to get political, but with the current situation, I would HIGHLY recommend against traveling with anything that might be deemed as a threat, even if you have the necessary docs.
