Insurance Premium for my parents increased by 100%

My parents’ insurance premium was 15000 each for a sum insured of 5 lakhs each. This year they increased it to 30000. There has been no claims for the last 2 years. Is there anything I can do because this feels like an unfair increase. Kindly advise.

This is mostly due to the age factor, happened with me too as soon as my dad turned 56 they doubled the premium. I advice you to cross check the insurance plan and talk to your dedicated advisor.

Recently Health Insurance premiums have increased for everyone.
I have also paid 2x for family health insurance with ICICI Lombard.

They can not increase more than 10% according to latest notification. it’s capped at 10% per year
