February 20, 2025 at 9:39 amYes. 3lpa is good enough to start. Don’t get too lost into fancy six figures ppl boast off. This is just the starting, with enough switches you can increase ur salary quick.-

February 20, 2025 at 11:26 amMostly high paying corporate jobs but I wanted to start with litigation as I wanted to learn the basics and ground work and I feel corporate would be very monotonous.-

February 20, 2025 at 11:30 amBrooooooYou can always switch to litigation after gaining experience in corporate.
Go where money is, that will become base for your future salary negotiation with other law firms

February 20, 2025 at 11:41 amBut then starting in litigation after years of practice without knowing the basics would not look good. Canβt i switch to corporate in 2/3 years after litigation?-

February 20, 2025 at 5:27 pmNo, it’s vice versa. In tier 1 corporate teams you would be starting at A0 after 2-3.Work in good disputes team for 1-2 years then come to litigation.Β

February 21, 2025 at 2:30 amIn tier 1 firms, yes. Unless you know the PA/ partner. All this is is applicable in the case of litigation chambers, for boutique firms they might consider.Β

February 20, 2025 at 10:01 amIt is what it is the main culprit in this whole situation is the people advertising law as a shiny career path. Reality is what it is before you, down the road 5-4 years you will be doing good. Take the salary and focus on sharpening skills and most importantly networking so that tomorrow you have references for a better work opportunity-

February 20, 2025 at 11:27 amThank you so much! Will focus on this. Itβs just that compared to the working hours the salary seems not worth it.-

February 20, 2025 at 2:19 pmFor litigation, that’s quite good tbh. Litigation is famous for getting barely any pay in the beginning
