February 12, 2025 at 8:39 amMy Wi-Fi 5G has been unable to access some websites (not pornographic) like X, Discord, Reddit, Quora and even some online coaching websites and gaming services like Steam, EA Servers and Ubisoft services in my PC (ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE). Consulting the Wi-Fi helpline was of no use. Based on recommendations given regarding such problems in r/IndianGaming, I see that Cloudflare WARP can help such issues and people who are using it can avail those services. My query is if such a service like Cloudflare WARP legal and safe to use in India without any repercussions ?

February 12, 2025 at 8:44 amThese are basic websites accessible from any network.
Flush your DNS and clear network cache. It’s an issue with your device. I used to get same error for Reddit, googled and resolved.
Baaki ye VPN wagerah is waste of money if you are planning to access these basic sites.

February 12, 2025 at 8:58 amYour WI-FU-FI-FY has nothing to do with blocking or unblocking websites, as that’s handled at the nearest routing / switching level (or your ISP).Secondly, this low effort post can benefit from more context such as if this is a home setup, college or bank etc.
And third, and to answer your question in legal terms, just the mere usage of Cloudfare WARP and / or any of the other services offered by Cloudfare are not illegal. What you do whilst using those services is subjected to local laws. VPN providers are not completely banned, just their data handling has been put under scrutiny by the Indian Government!
And finally, the error in question, “ERR_ADDRESS….” sounds very much like you trying to access a web resource or a page from either a standalone browser or an embedded one. Which simply means that you either have a network fault at (wherever this network is since you didn’t provide that detail), or you are being actively blocked by somebody in the network path between your client (PC) and the target web / application server (what you are incorrectly calling a ‘service’)
Hope that helps..

February 12, 2025 at 9:09 amYou can answer without being a dick. The legal aspect of his question is literally in the last paragraph. He doesn’t want another IT literate monkey telling him to flush his DNS blah blah-

February 12, 2025 at 9:32 amFirst of all, my most sincere apologies for not using correct terms. Please forgive my ignorance, for I am a mere humble user of internet and almost completely blind regarding the nitpicks and technicalities behind the curtains.I hope you are not insinuating that I am stupid or irresponsible enough to open entertainment and social media webpages like Reddit or Discord and gaming services on anything other than my PC. I again apologise sincerely if my humble query comes across as low-effort to your wise mind.
Let me thank you for answering the legal aspect of my query. I am grateful.
I must regretfully inform that your answer is neither of much help nor consolation, but I am thankful nonetheless.
Have a good day !

February 12, 2025 at 1:51 pmJio is the culprit here. Their DNS resolver is not allowing access. Try changing DNS servers in your PC and Mobile. There are many reported cases similar to yours on Reddit. You can go through those methods to get access.
You don’t need to pay for another service for access on top of paying your Internet bill.

February 12, 2025 at 2:50 pmCloud flare app 1.1.1.1 is pulled form India. You can still use it as long as it’s available.Soon all vpns and proxies in India will stop working cause of new gov rules. Indian gov want to store every single details about the users for 5 years. Which is against most reputable vpn company’s policy. So if you see any vpn on play store or app store, they are storing your IP, Device, if you used credit card, that info for 5 years. Good luck!
