Taking knife is a tricky situation especially in public places, I think you can go with a 3-d printed knuckle duster, that isn’t a metal but strong enough to harm.

I carry one with me always now for self defense. Just say it is a utility knife but no one really cares.

Keep pepper spray, knife law is very complicated if you’re not a sikh, even if you’re carrying a legal knife( under 3 inches without spring) , how are you gonna explain that to an uneducated police??

Write on both sides of the Knife “Self Defence”. You are safe then.
