March 28, 2025 at 5:43 amI and my wife gor married in the year 2023 in Delhi Arya Samaj. Got some certificate looking document which has our signs and our parents signs. It is a intercaste marriage. Both of us are earning pretty well and bought a 2bhk flat with as co owners.
I got my wife’s adhar card updated with new details.
I want to know that since we have not got our marriage registered in court, how will that affect us negatively in future?
Will it affect our foreign trips, our kids, legal matters related with property and money.Shall we really get it registered amd what is the process and how much time it takes?
Thank you.

March 28, 2025 at 11:01 amif u r a lawyer then u sud also know marriage certificate is not mandatory for passport, u can fill up some declaration form at the office and it’ll be done. I’m not sure how many countries mandatorily ask for marriage certificate if u already have a passport and spouse name is mentioned in that. In passport its not mandatory for sure.

March 28, 2025 at 6:44 amA lot of government offices ask for the marriage certificate too. In case you have a kid and are looking to get a passport done, they’ll ask for it too.-
