April 29, 2026 at 2:28 am**The Situation:**ย I have an ABSLI Nishchit Aayush policy with an annual premium of โน1,02,920. I decided not to renew it this year. When I called their customer care earlier this month, the agent told me to “like visit branch offline” or “stop paying” something like tatt.. and the policy would lapse. Since I am quite busy with work, I took their word for it and stopped manual payments.Today, 29th April, at 12 AM, they “smartly” debited the full amount from my HDFC account via NACH. Honestly, I feel completely blindsided. To be very frank, their earlier advice feels like a trap to ensure the auto-debit kicked in.. Luckily I saw the message in the morning, else it would be disaster.
* I have already mailed their care and grievance IDs formally requesting a cancellation and refund.
* Iโve reached out to my HDFC Relationship Manager to dispute the transaction and block future mandates.Any hope of see my money. I have newborn and this money is all I had, Now need to pay rent and credit card bills.ย **These Insurances are SCAMMERS.**
