May 6, 2026 at 6:01 amHi everyone, I’m a student from a Tier-3 college. On 26th April, I had a career-defining Infosys recruitment exam (Package: 21 LPA).During the exam, Jio had a total network blackout for 3 hours in my area (Wagholi, Pune). It wasn’t an accident; it was planned maintenance, but they sent ZERO prior notification. If they had sent a simple SMS, I would have moved to another location.
What happened next:
I called support 40+ times. I was stuck in an “AI Loop.”
Advisors mocked my education and refused to connect me to seniors.
I suffered severe mental stress and even got a fever (visited a counselor).
The Big Win: Today (5th May), after constant follow-ups, a Senior Official from Jio (Appellate team) sent an email admitting that the network was down for 3 hours and apologized for the “unpleasant experience” with their staff. However, they flatly refused any compensation.
It’s been 10 days now, and I am in total despair. I don’t even know if Infosys will agree to re-conduct the exam after this delay. My entire future is at stake.
My Plan:
I am filing a case in the Pune Consumer Forum. My demands:
Jio must coordinate with Infosys for a re-exam.
Or, Jio should offer me a job in their org at a similar package.
Or, ₹10 Lakhs compensation for permanent career loss and mental agony.
Questions for Reddit:
Is ₹10 Lakhs a fair claim for a 21 LPA career loss? A friend says I should ask for less, but this is my future.
Since they admitted the failure on email, how strong is my case?
Has anyone dealt with Jio’s “AI Loop” or negligence in court before?
Please help, I’m fighting this alone and it’s mentally exhausting.
