I was laid off from my work on Saturday, during my probation period, without a formal communication and I was told I will only be getting April’s compensation. But as per the below attached offer letter, it clearly says I should be given 1 month’s written notice or it’s equivalent compensation. So, I am posting here to confirm that I am entitled to 30 days’ compensation right? What is the best legal action can I take if I am denied 30 days’ compensation? Appreciate any help in this regard

This is what my offer letter says –

** For Cause: If the Employee violates any provision of this Agreement or engages in misconduct, fraud, dishonesty, or any act of moral turpitude.*

** Without Cause: The Employer may terminate this Agreement for any reason, provided that the Employee is given a minimum of thirty (30) days written notice, or, at the Employer’s discretion, a payment of one month’s salary in lieu of notice.*

** The Employee may terminate his employment at any time by providing the*

*Employer with at least one (1) month advance notice of his intention to resign.*
