        Hi all,

My grandmother owns a property in Maharashtra that was leased to Bank of Baroda for a branch. The registered lease expired a few months ago. The bank is not renewing it, but they also refuse to vacate and say they will move out only after their new branch is ready.

They are still paying rent, but there is no fresh agreement. Their staff is not handling the issue politely, and we want to send a proper notice.

        What I want to know:

        1. Do they have any right to stay after lease expiry? (I checked the lease agreement and no where it is mentioned about the extension)

        2. Should the notice go to the branch manager, regional office, and head office, MD?

        3. Should I also send a copy to RBI?

        4. Any legal or practical steps I should follow?

Would appreciate advice from anyone familiar with Indian lease/property matters.
