I need some legal guidance regarding an inherited property. My father, a government employee, passed away last year without leaving a will. As a result, the property has been divided among the legal heirs, which include my mother, my siblings, myself, and my grandmother. We have always lived separately, and there is an outstanding home loan. Now, we want to sell the property in our hometown to settle the financial liabilities, but my grandmother is refusing to give her consent for the sale.Since she is a legal heir, I understand that her share cannot be sold without her agreement. What are my options in this situation? Can we proceed with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or a Release Deed to transfer her share to the rest of the family? Are there any legal steps we can take if she refuses to cooperate?Would really appreciate any advice or insights from those who have faced a similar situation. Thanks in advance!
