I’m speaking from Gujarat.

We’ve been living on a property for over 20 years, which includes a relatively large piece of land. Recently, the owner of the land, who is also a relative, has started construction on it. There’s an ongoing court case regarding this land, and the NA (Non-Agricultural) conversion has already been done.

Given that we’ve been residing here for so long, is there anything I can do legally to address this situation?

If you know that you ain’t the owner of the land. Why not leave?

well you should not, but u can claim adverse possession (case will go on for like decade)

yes u have to file a court case and u have to prove that ur living there from last 20 years and no one else was in control of that land in any way

If you have filled a case disputing ownership, then apply to the concerned court for a stay on the construction.
