PSo i’m try to summarise the story – my friend – who were undergoing counselling – posted a thread roughly 18 months back.
So in may 2024, the wife left her marital house and promised to return within a week, never returned. no communication from her family to the husbands family and in October sent a divorce notice through her lawyer with false accusations – dowry, domestic violence and accusations on husband and FIL AND MIL.
the husband replied – denied allegations and requesting to prioritise reconciliation and if no option exists – if she isn’t ready to cooperate – ready for divorce!FFW in February – she files a police complaint against husband and FIL, MIL – accusations of Dowry, DV, and other typical accusations. It’s taken up by CAW and the husband attended all summons, instead the wife skipped 2-3 summons with vague excuses, finally reconciled – with the couple staying separately.
Adding to that counsellors and being recommended that the past issues will not be discussed and it be kept as it is, however complaint issue still being open.The wife’s family is unaware of the police complaint, also refuses to engage and inform anyone – relatives from her family about this step. (possibly she did this in depression, frustation or under the influence of her friends who might not have best interest for her and this wife is gullible in such situations)
Now when they are staying together husband is paranoid of her intentions as her brother’s marriage is slated to be in next 4-5 months and if this is just for the sake.
And she only has mother, elder sister and younger brother in her family. (all unaware about this complaint)How can the husband ensure that similar case isn’t filed again, and the reconciliation efforts are not only till her brother’s marriage.
>Some one has advised, that just send letter’s to the same police stations and offices mentioning that she had filed the complaint earlier under depression, disturbed state and was coaxed to do so and there was no Dowry and DV and she has no complaints against her husband and FIL and MIL. And apologising for the same.
kindly advise ad the husband is depressed as his parents have been called out in this and the fake accusations are affecting his mental health and career.
