A friend of mine worked at a well known IT pharma company as a Fresher. She served 5 months in the organisation during which she was under training. She was facing medical issues due to which she had to resign. She also asked for notice period waiver. Even after providing the necessary medical reports, they rejected her request. Instead they gave her wfh.
Now due to medical issues, she cannot work, due to which she has to take Loss Of Pay Leaves. They are saying that her notice period will be extending due to that. There is a option to buyout the notice period, but she is not capable to do that, as the salary was already too less and that too got used up in her medical expenses.
She doesn’t want the remaining pay or even the experience letter. At this point she just wants to get rid of this job.
What should we do? Will there be any legal consequences?
