March 27, 2025 at 5:28 amI have been dealing with their support team everyday for the past 3 weeks, they just repeat that they “reviewed with the internal team” and won’t be providing warranty, the exact same textbook replies that they are supposed to tell customers. They are citing nonsense reasons such as “the screw is damaged so we won’t be providing warranty”.I bought this laptop after 2 years of saving my 30K per month salary, I have lost countless days of sleep just dealing with their useless support team.
Can i file a case in consumer court or am i out of luck?
Please, any help would be appreciated as this has taken a toll on my mental health.

March 27, 2025 at 5:38 amYou can file a case in consumer court but you’ve to provide enough evidence to support your claim-

March 27, 2025 at 2:56 pmUpdate – I have registered my case in [consumerhelpline.gov.in](http://consumerhelpline.gov.in)Explained everything in detail, and also attached the photos of the laptop before and after the technician damaged the screw for which warranty is being denied.
How soon will they send a legal notice and Lenovo to act upon it?

March 27, 2025 at 5:38 amDo you have any proof that the screw was not damaged by you ? If not, most probably they can get away with it.As you say its internal screw on wifi card. If none of the seal on outer screws/body were broken then you can challenge it. But don’t do anything verbally. Do each and every correspondence by email/registered mail and keep proper documentation so that you can produce everything at later date.
These companies would call you & promise you the moon and then won’t do anything as they know the customer can’t prove anything. Even if you receive any call, carefully record the name, designation, calling number, date & time. Then send an email to customer care summarising the call along with all the details.

March 27, 2025 at 6:37 amhold your horses. properly escalate the issue and then go to court.step 1:- email the whole issue and ask for update, this will be helpful in courts later.
Step 2:- tag them on twitter and their big wigs and ask for update.if no solution is provided in 1 week, then send reminder saying, i have to take it to court as no satisfactory solution has been provided ( use proper wording of emails, take help of chatgpt of whatsapp chatbot)
as a last resort you can go to Consumer court.if laptop is under warranty and hasnt been opened ever, then they will fix it.

3. Laptop is still under 11 months warranty.
Thank you for your suggestions.

March 28, 2025 at 1:34 amWhen I had an issue with their mobile, (had a limit of installing 2 apps, used to crash when any 3rd app was installed), did multiple runs to the service center.Fedup, found their global CEO on linkedin and sent a message detailing the issue. Within 24 hrs got a call from their service center for 100% refund. Try reaching out similarly for your issue, the Indian guys are going to do nothing.
