April 30, 2026 at 1:55 pmBelow is the timeline of events for clarity:**12th April 2026**
I initially reported the charging LED blinking issue to the Legion Ultimate Support team. During the remote session, diagnostics were performed on the device and I was informed that the issue was highly likely related to the battery. Since the battery was out of warranty, I was informed that I would need to pay for the replacement in advance. At that stage, I specifically asked whether the process would be refundable if the battery replacement did not resolve the issue, and I was informed that it would be, the battery would be taken back and a refund would be processed if it was not the cause of the issue.**14th April 2026**
I received the official quote from Lenovo for the battery replacement along with installation/service charges. The executive called and explained the quote. Before making any payment, I again sought confirmation regarding both the diagnosis and the refund policy. At that point, I was informed that there would be **no refund** even if the replacement did not resolve the issue. This directly contradicted what I had been told earlier. Since I was not comfortable proceeding under those terms, I requested that the matter be escalated to the L2 team.**15th April – 20th April 2026**
The case was escalated to the L2 team within the same email thread where the quote was shared. During this period, I provided additional evidence, including video recordings of the issue as well as proof that the laptop was functioning on battery. However, I received no direct written response from the L2 team. Instead, I was contacted by Legion Ultimate Support and informed that the L2 team had reviewed the case and confirmed that the battery replacement should be done.**21st April 2026**
Relying on Lenovo’s diagnosis and internal confirmation, I proceeded with the payment as per the quote.**28th April 2026**
The engineer visited and replaced the battery. However, immediately after the replacement, the exact same issue persisted. This was observed in the engineer’s presence, confirming that the battery replacement did not resolve the issue.Today is **30th April 2026**, and I just received a call from the escalation team in which they said there will be no refund given whatsoever.
what should i do now, they are not taking any responsibility for this.
