Lost passport! Need urgent help!!

I have seemed to misplace my passport and I’m not able to find it. I have planned for an international trip in one month and I’m in urgent need of a new passport.
I understand I need to file an FIR and apply for a new one, I want to know how long this takes and how soon can I get a new passport?
(Apologies for the flair I’m not sure what to put)
