Manager just increased my handover task list 10 before last date

This is for a friend – he is working with a private firm and his last date is supposed to be on 14th May. He has been trying to get his last date approved from last 1 month and today they did approve but on the condition that he fulfils all the tasks mentioned in handover list.

The manager also added 20 additional tasks in the handover list which was initially created by my colleague including tasks that usually happens 3 months from now. He shared it in the email with all seniors giving the view that the task list was created by my friend.

Question: Clearly the tasks can’t be done in this much time. What are the options my friend has?
