Maternity leaves

Hi folks, I have joined a MNC on Nov 2024 and after joining it, got to know I was three months pregnant. I haven’t received project yet and currently on bench. i am just worried, what if I didn’t find a project on time may be they will terminate me and I won’t be able to take any maternity leaves benefits. Can some one guide me how can I navigate from this situation?

You can apply for maternity. Please discuss with your manager. However the fact that you are going to be availing maternity so soon after joining is unlikely to go down well with people you may have to work with.

probably, you have a probation period also. during probation period the company can terminate you without notice. so yeah.. prepare for the worst.

If they do find you a project, you will get trained on that and then proceed to go on leave. Talk to your manager about your need to take a break to have the baby and get thru the initial care you and your baby need.
