me and my friend were driving, scooter hit our car during a turn, we panicked and came home. Am I in trouble?

I am from bhopal

So I was sitting besides my friend and we were returning home in his car. During a turn, a scooter hit our vehicle and fell down.

I panicked and told him to leave it as I feared road rage/mob violence.

We reached home, and he told me that it was wrong of me to insist on leaving.

Our car also suffered severe damage.

What should we do? It was my mistake and I am afraid what will happen next?

Someone please help me?

If your car is heavily damaged, I cant imagine what must have happened to the scooter.

I urge you to try to go back to the spot and check if the scooter rider is okay.

Go to your local police station and file an incident report to claim insurance for the car damage. At least it will show that you did not intend on doing a hit and run.
