Mothers name different in documents-Passport Issue

My mother’s name in my 10th certificate is written with my father’s surname and her name with a gap. The same format is used in her passport as well (issued in the early 2000s when she had a spouse visa). Her passport expired long ago. However, in her other documents, such as PAN and Aadhar, her surname is different, and her name is written without a gap.

In my old passport, they recorded her name with my father’s surname and a gap but mistyped one letter. Now, they have asked me to write a letter and provide my 10th certificate and oldest passport (which has the same name(moms name) as in my 10th certificate) to confirm that they are the same and that the mistake in my old passport was a typo.

However, during my recent visit, they asked me to bring my mother’s documents and my birth certificate. Since my mother’s documents have a different name, I am unsure what to do. I told my dad that we might need an affidavit, but he just yelled at me.

I have two old passports, both expired more than 10y ago.
old- got it when I was a toddler
oldest-got it when I was a month’s baby

Please help me out, what do I need to do in this situation?
