March 14, 2025 at 7:53 amI bought a new bike for me, a premium Honda motorcycle worth 7.5 L.
On the first day itself, I noticed the bike has right pulling issue. More like right falling issue the bike falls to the right if I let the handlebar go (this is how alignment issues are tested, tested in safe roads).
So after a medium distance ride, my right arm hurts like hell and because alignemt issues can cause pther dangerours issues like unpredictable handling, speed wobbles/tank slappers, it is genuinely unsafe to drive the bike.
So the next day itself I took it back to the dealer, where they said I should take it to a service center. The service center “fixed” it. Told me they test deive it and issue is no more. Immediately I took a test drive, nothing was fixed. Gave it back there. This repeated again and I gave the bike to a different service center closer to my home now.
The bike since have been in the service center for two weeks coming Monday. They keep inspecting and asking me to wait. Now they are saying higher level technicians are coming from Delhi and Mumbai to fix the issue and it will take onew more week.
All this time I am incurring heavy expenses due to daily travel. Can’t take bus because to office it takes two hours due to weird bus routes. Autos and cabs are eating my money. By next week the bike will be due for first service, and it has only driven 400km. Losing the initial “break in” stage. I asked Honda if they can give me some compensation as a discounted accessory or even some free services to cover the expenses I have incurred and they outright refused. They are not giving me any temporary vehicle as replacement as well.
Is there anything I can do here? Should I wait for god knows what amount of time? This ahould not be the case for any vehicles purchased by anyone let alone a premium bike.
My concern is even if they fix the issue by changing some inportant parts, the bike has now lost its “new” status as it is no longer coming from the factory where they test the bike thoroughly with all the parts assembled.
Is there anything I can do here in a legal route and should I do anything here rather than wait?
Please do give your advice. Thanks.
