January 25, 2025 at 8:47 pmMy family and I live in a 4bhk with A LOT of hoarded stuff. We had to get our home renovated and the process began in August 2024. Since it was a massive project, my family and I temporarily moved to another flat. I would often visit our home and check progress. Primarily, my parents’ rooms were supposed to get fixed, and I was preoccupied with their stuff. For the sake of cost, we decided to hire different teams for tiles and interior design. Some workers even stayed overnight for work. Our bedrooms were out of bounds, and we kept them locked. On some day, my bedroom was left unlocked, and the workers went through my personal belongings and stole my bricked and old phone, my drone, some jewelry pieces, and some other gifts. They left their fingerprints around, but I am not sure how to approach this. I know I shouldn’t have trusted them at all, but I would really appreciate advice on how to confront them and push them to return the stuff that was stolen. We left the house trusting them, only to be betrayed. I want to communicate that there are consequences to their actions while possibly retreiving my belongings. Thank you ๐ -

January 27, 2025 at 1:34 pmYou need to file an FIR immediately. If the police refuses, then contact a Lawyer and file a Complaint/Petition before the Magistrate for a direction to the police to file an FIR.-
