March 19, 2025 at 5:30 amHi, my company is forcing me to sign an agreement that states that I cant give interview at any other company till the end of my 3 years bond period. And it also states that if my client asks me to join them permanently then I will have to reject the offer. Is it illegal?. Please help me out as I have to sign it -

March 19, 2025 at 5:34 amSuch clauses are not enforceable in law. You cannot be restrained from working. But you cannot poach a client.

March 19, 2025 at 5:42 amSign it. Still not enforceable.
If youโre being forced to do so – sign and put without prejudice all rights reserved next to your sign.If a contractual clause is against the law, it doesnโt matter if both parties signed it. The court will still not enforce it.
This is just an advice from whatever youโve stated. I donโt know what your exact terms of the bond are and whether the company is investing in your upskilling in the three years youโll be there or less.

March 19, 2025 at 5:46 amOk thank you so much.
What I was thinking to say to them is that “When I was joining here, I agreed to your certain terms and conditions but now u r changing them , I didn’t agree to this. If you keep changing conditions every other day , how will I sign them”
