My IRCTC Account has been hacked

Back in June 2025, my IRCTC account got hacked. I realised this while I was actually travelling from Pune to Nagpur on a train and wanted to check my ticket on the IRCTC App. I realised that I could not log in. When I tried to reset the password, the email and the mobile number the OTP went to were unknown.

I have tried raising multiple concerns on IRCTC’s eQuery Portal with the Cyber Crime Report and FIR however no action has been taken till date. Every time I raise a concern, it is closed after a few days with a message claiming that the issue has been “resolved”. If I call the customer care phone number on the eQuery Portal, the agents there urge me to raise a fresh concern. I have raised several concerns on the eQuery Portal however I can only the last few. I am not sure why.

I am incredibly frustrated with this unnecessary and long standing issue. I have ticket details from 2019 to 2025 to prove the rightful ownership of my old ID. I really want to resolve this issue. What are the legal options that I have?
