May 2, 2025 at 12:22 pmMy stories is complicated let me tell from the beginning I was 8th std when Lock down occurred so my school automatically passed me but when 9th std began I wasn’t provided Online lectures because My fees weren’t paid since Jan 2020 so I wasn’t provided classes for 9th and 10th std I did self study via YouTube and prepared for board exams. We went to request the school to allow me give my boards we somehow convinced them via a local politican so they allowed me for giving the board exam but they haven’t given me my LC. They told us to clear the fees for 9th and 10th but I haven’t received any education why the hell should I pay??? My education has stopped due to this issue is there any way out????? Please help!! -

May 2, 2025 at 12:41 pmAre the fees significant? Is there any way you can clear your dues? Imo even if you drag them to court they can counter saying you hadnโt paid your fees since Jan 2020.-

May 2, 2025 at 7:37 pmyour best bet is to try to negotiate with them to 10-30k legally you can’t do much because you need atleast 75% attendance to give boards.

May 2, 2025 at 12:52 pmWell first of all right to education doesn’t mean everyone stops paying their school fees. you should be thankful the school allowed you to attend exams with zero attendance. And also there is seems to be no reason you can sue your school for. -

May 2, 2025 at 1:26 pmNAL,But the right to education is only available for a child of age six to fourteen years. As per Section 3 of Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 as well as Article 21A of the Constitution of India.
It only covers free and compulsory education only till 8th Standard/Class.
Since, the school is not under the statutory obligation to provide free and compulsory education after you have been promoted to 9th class.

May 2, 2025 at 6:23 pmYou werenโt given online classes/lecture access because it was you who did not pay the fees. The correct way would be to negotiate a final amount and pay the fees for 9/10th grade and get your LC so you can apply to higher secondary school or a diploma.
If I were you, I would have settled the matter politely.

May 2, 2025 at 6:24 pmNo, unless you have it in written somewhere that will allow you to give exams without attending the school. In fact, they will get in trouble, you can give exams without attending school only through open-schools. For regular schools, minimum attendance is compulsory. If you have proof that you didn’t attend the school but still were able to give regular exams, then the school will get in trouble for fraud.

May 2, 2025 at 6:29 pmThe reason you got to answer your boards is because of some pressure from the local politician. They’ve already done you a favour by letting you answer your boards without attendance.

U can file your case under the right to education. But it won’t be easy at all. Maybe consider talking to a lawyer before doing anything -

May 2, 2025 at 3:10 pmYes, you can get LC. But there is legal procedure should initiate against your impugned school. Just to file writ petition in your jurisdictional high court-

May 2, 2025 at 4:40 pmThe School essentially did you a favor by letting you write Boards under their name. Maybe check with he Politician again, since you were able to strong arm your school previously. Also, based on your story you cleared 10th in 2022 . What has been happening after that ? Or you don’t really want to study anymore and just need the 10th certificate?

May 2, 2025 at 5:51 pmThere’s two ways to clear class 10.
First is by regular mode., for which you schools will insist on fees and minimum attendance., second is by private mode.
School has given you an opportunity to write your exams without attendance. Please pay the fees due and collect the leaving certificate. Don’t suoe the school. Otherwise you should have answered the exams through private mode.-

They haven’t denied right to education, you have by not paying fees. If you’re in a financial burden then join some govt school for the time being. -

May 3, 2025 at 6:33 amAsking for fees in not “denied to education”. You are at fault here for not paying fees, you should have enrolled to govt school and continued your classes through youtube. If you have financial trouble settling your school fees, it’s not wise to engage in unnecessary legal battle which will cost you same and is based on fact-less assumption. Make your life simple and negotiate with school to lower the amout pay and move on.

May 3, 2025 at 12:55 pmNALYou could’ve written your 9th and 10th exams through India Open School (idk the exact name).
Also, you haven’t paid any fees, so as far as the school is concerned, you aren’t even a student.
Do you have any hall tickets or anything that proves you wrote your final exams through the school? If not, hard luck. You’ll have to repeat the classes afaik.
