May 1, 2025 at 4:00 pmMy uncle took approximately 7 lakhs from my mother in cash and won’t return it and is denying that he ever took one. I have no proof whatsoever. He does not care about my mother or anyone even though he is his elder brother . She gave her money as his family’s financial condition was very poor couldn’t even afford his child’s fees and is now acting like a king now. He definitely has no intention of returning the money and everyone i talked only said one thing that you can’t do anything without proof. Please tell me what to do otherwise have no option to just let it go -

May 1, 2025 at 4:22 pmLegally, no option for you. But your advantage(disadvantage till now) is that you are FAMILY. Your mother should start playing the victim that she is in front of all the relatives in each and every function in your family circles. Name and shame them. Warn about their nature. Build up additional stories as to how they conned you and took jewellery from your mother saying they will return with a week and escaped with it(eg). Nothing will irritate and shame them more than this. Not saying this will definitely work but has its chances.

May 1, 2025 at 4:31 pmThey literally don’t care. They went to my father’s side grandparents and told them bad things about our family to start a war and to prevent my grandfather from naming The property in my name only because of jealousy. Still my mother forgave them and now she realised their true nature.

1. Take help from a local politician and gunda.
2. Believe in karma.-

May 1, 2025 at 4:44 pmWell guess I have to go with 2nd as my mother still won’t let me do it and if she finds what I’ve done she would really not like this.

It is time to cut him off.

May 1, 2025 at 4:46 pmDo you have any chats or recording of his call? Check your mother’s whatsapp conversation with him-
MMonikafalcon315
OP
May 1, 2025 at 4:49 pmCall recording is there but he denies even accepting that he took money, he is very smart and doesn’t really use chats and because of his condition my mother gave money without thinking this would happen and he did this with her trust .-

May 1, 2025 at 5:09 pmNo chat not even family group chat where the loan amount is mentioned? Also he denied taking money on call? There must be some calls and chats prior to your mother giving that fcker money-
MMonikafalcon315
OP
May 1, 2025 at 5:14 pmNo family group and as for calls they live very near so he came to the house everyday and already came before you can call him because of money he had pre planned this and no family group because they are the only two children of my grandparents. He never really cared even when my father passed away instead of helping my mother he asked for help and because of his condition my mother helped him-

May 1, 2025 at 6:31 pmFck! Your mother shouldn’t have trusted him. There must be some people who are aware of this situation like some family members or neighbours, you can use them as witness-
MMonikafalcon315
OP
May 1, 2025 at 6:40 pmMy neighbour is an old friend of uncle and they also worked together in a company he won’t testify and others can testify but it simply won’t be enough as still documents are needed as proof and we simply don’t have one and when we ever tried to do online payments he always said cash is needed as online payments have 50k limit, we really really regret it if only could’ve used the online mode this would be avoided.-

May 2, 2025 at 3:04 amYour mother shouldn’t have trusted him at all, I feel bad for her too though. Imagine losing your husband and then trusting your brother just for him to break your trust like this..I don’t think there is much you could do. Collect whatever you can as proof

May 1, 2025 at 7:28 pmCan’t move on from 7 lakhs.People earn money by spending their life and giving up their comfort. That’s why we call it ‘khoon paseene ki kamai’.
If I was in your place, I would’ve taken the not-giving-up route.
Remember, if you take help from some goon, they can be easily bought by your uncle as he holds the cash, not you. Whatever you give to the goon, your uncle can give more because it’s free money for him.
Do a few things first:
1. Talk to him personally with 3-4 recording devices on. Let there be anger and all. Let him spit all the truth out on recording.
2. If he collected that money recently from your house or shared household, maybe you’ll be able to file an FIR of theft against him. Remember, police also takes a cut.
3. Or maybe with the recording, you can go to magistrate court with a lawyer, and request for an FIR and monitoring of investigation. Mother’s victim card can be played there.
4. If some trusted goon is there, the better. Otherwise you or your friends with a car and good planning, may be able to pull something off to get your money back.Note: I’m not a lawyer. Everything I say here is fictional. It’s not any advice or suggestion.

May 1, 2025 at 8:32 pmYes I know for us middle class 7 lakhs is a huge amount .I will first try to sort out the matter by talking but if he resists might have to take another route but can’t go illegal as you can get severe charges and will try to record everything and will update this post after 1 month.-

May 1, 2025 at 9:30 pmIf someone does something illegal to someone else and the other person doesn’t have any proof of it, then I don’t know how the other person gets justice. Also, if a person can do something illegal to the other person and sees that there isn’t any action from the other side, then he may do something illegal again, and again.

May 2, 2025 at 5:30 amThat’s a huge amount really sad that even people who should support you are betraying you like this. Once a person gets a habit of this free money he won’t look back.-

May 2, 2025 at 5:45 amAbsolutely….
And when you need it.. you know someone has your money or taken money, but still difficult to get it back.
I had so many plans, everything has gone for a toss.Lesson learnt,
Unless it’s money that i can forget or even if gone, i can get a good night’s sleep, I’m not going to be lending anymore than that. And
2nd, always going to keep a collateral henceforth,if giving anyone-
MMonikafalcon315
OP
May 2, 2025 at 6:02 amYes there’s no point in helping when you suffer and the person doesn’t care what you’ve done for them.
