April 19, 2025 at 4:06 amReport it to the bank if it’s not more then 48h and get chargeback. Phonepe won’t do anything not even if that person is willing to give her money. Only thing now can be done is contact bank. Else it’s her purpose that she Sent and never gonna get it back. -

April 19, 2025 at 4:22 amSince the money was lent in good faith(I’m assuming, based on the info), you can file a police complaint and go the legal route for creating(after you’ve asked them and they’ve denied/not responded). But keep in mind that you’ll spend at least a lack over the course of a few years to get 10000 back.-

April 19, 2025 at 6:14 amAgain that part will take years, and though the court will order interest and legal fee, it’s not worth it as what the court orders and what you actually have paid is different(not to mention any bribes). + Say court says to the guy to pay 50k(you’ve already spent 1lack), the guy will not have that much and will negotiate a settlement of 30-35k, if you don’t agree the guy has the option of filing an appeal and dragging it further(but to file an appeal he’ll have to deposit atleast 50% of what court ordered towards the appeal(25k) that will stay with the court and might be awarded to you if he loses the appeal).Ideally cut your losses, try whatever is possible without you spending anything (harassing him, calling and intimidating him etc), but if it doesn’t work out, leave it.

April 19, 2025 at 5:13 amonly two hopes, first raise dispute via your bank (not phonepe/UPI app). You will get an ETA of >30 days.

April 19, 2025 at 6:06 amEven known friends will be hesitant to lend 10000 these days, how are people giving to complete strangers on matrimony?.Forget about 10k, no way of getting it back. Too small for police to care, bribes itself will cost more. Take it as lesson learnt and be careful!

April 19, 2025 at 9:01 amThe best solution is to forget and be careful in future. Otherwise several courses of actions are available where you can spend 3-4 months of your mental peace and will be visiting Police stations,Cyber cells , and may be courts etc.
