April 12, 2025 at 10:51 amhello folks, my grandfather had constructed a house(G+1) both flats are 2bhk’s. without anyones consultation he divided the property in the will among my aunt, father and gave the terrace rights to my grandmother. my grandmother encouraged my dad to build another 1.5 floors on the terrace stating that the 1st floor belongs to my dad and he can build on it(my dad was not aware of the will and terrace rights) after the contruction finished(post covid) the property rates jumped significantly and my grandmother started behaving weirdly, she is using the terrace rights thing to her advantage, like for getting luxuries, going on trips, she uses vulgar language in the house and threatens us to give it away to some random communities. for my aunt, she doesnt own anything other than that and is always more interested in selling this. is there anything we can do to stop this extortion. Please note that the new floors were constructed during lockdown and it costed us a fortune, we have all the bills and tax receipts. -
