April 20, 2025 at 6:27 pmMy grandfather created a will that divided our ancestral property among his 2 sons (my dad and my uncle). The will is legally registered. Now, I have a twisted family situation going on where there is a chance my cousin might blackmail my grandfather in altering the will in his family’s favour.
My grandfather might cave in eventually and draft a new will that favours my uncle’s family more.
Now, the current registered will was drafted 10 years ago where everyone agreed to the terms.
I want to know if there’s a way to safeguard that will? I know it’s already a registered document but is there a way to prevent making any changes to it? Would it make sense if my grandfather writes a letter that there will not be any changes made to the current will ever?
