UNeed help with what can be done. I have a property that I acquired before my marriage, with both of our names are on it, and we contributed equally. After the divorce, I’m trying to remove my name from the property, but the other person isn’t willing.
Currently, the property is occupied by a tenant, and the rent is being used to pay the EMI. However, the rent is deposited into the other person’s account, and I don’t receive anything. I have already presented three options to the other person:
1. They can buy my share.
2. I can buy their share.
3. We can sell the property to a third party.I’m out of options at this point. I’m currently considering giving the tenant a notice period to vacate, hoping this will create some pressure on the other person. In the meantime, I’m thinking of seeking legal help, but I’m concerned that the legal process will take a long time.
Any help ?
