April 14, 2025 at 1:46 amA photographer in delhi had promised us photos and videos of a family event. But now it has been 6 months and the guy has stopped picking up our calls. My parents are old and can’t retaliate much while I am in Banglore for job purposes. What legel actions can we take against the photographer? Please advice

April 14, 2025 at 2:45 amI am assuming that Photographer took your money and is not sending you the photos and videos, in that case –Send a Legal Notice via an Advocate in Delhi to your Photographer’s home and office address.
If he doesn’t accept your demands then file a suit for specific performance (to get photos/videos) or suit for recovery (if you want your money back).
I think sending Legal Notice will suffice as of now, filing criminal complaint is useless as Police won’t investigate this matter seriously and will take years to file the chargesheet.

April 14, 2025 at 4:44 amHi. Iโm a Delhi based lawyer. Send him a legal notice to begin with, and then file a consumer complaint against him. For now, these are the quickest remedies you have.
