April 27, 2025 at 5:43 pmPosting on behalf of someone:A primary school teacher in the Mainpuri district (Uttar Pradesh) passed away in September 2023. After his death, his brother applied for a compassionate appointment because their elderly mother is fully dependent on him.
During the process, officials allegedly demanded bribes to move the file forward. It is claimed that bribes amounting to around βΉ10 lakh were given over time on the officialsβ demands. However, there is no documentary proof to support this.
Later, a girl came forward and filed a case in court, falsely claiming that she was married to the deceased teacher. In reality, the teacher was unmarried. The education department officials have informally stated that the girl has no credible documents to prove her claim.
Even after several months, the compassionate appointment has not been processed.
**We are seeking advice on:**
* What steps can be taken legally to get the compassionate appointment finalized quickly?
* How can the false marriage claim be challenged or dismissed in court?
* Can action be taken against the officials for the delays and alleged bribe demands? Should complaints be filed with higher authorities like the District Magistrate (DM), Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA), Vigilance, or Lokayukta?Any advice on the best course of action would be greatly appreciated.
