I came across a banner at an Indian Oil fuel station recently that promoted a “Bumper Prize” contest. The banner mentioned that by fueling a minimum amount (different for car/bike) and submitting a slogan, we could win prizes like a car, bike, and more through a lucky draw.
I followed the instructions, submitted my slogan, and even got a token ID confirming my entry. The offer ended on 8th March. But when I tried contacting Indian Oil customer support online, they told me there’s no such offer!
Luckily, I took a photo of the banner at the station and I still have the token ID as proof. Now I’m not sure what to do, but it definitely feels like false advertising or miscommunication from their end.
Has anyone else faced something like this? Any advice on how I can escalate this or get a proper response? Should I approach the consumer forum?
