  So I had planned to rent an appliance thru a well known portal. Even after 10 days of promised delivery date when the product did not arrive, I cancelled the order. It’s been over a month now, everytime I call those guys say they would do it but again they never do.
  
  Now it’s not even about the money, I want to act on it. But not sure how to proceed.
  
  Could any lawyer help me please?

  You can send a legal notice regarding the money they owe you and if they don’t act on it you can file a cheating complaint on consumer forum and in your nearest police station. That’s what I would do
