April 30, 2026 at 6:24 amI bought an Acer AC from Reliance Digital online. They delivered it and installation was also done through their side.Since Day 1, the AC has not been working properly / is effectively dead. It has now been around 2 months and till date no technician from Acer or Indkal has visited despite multiple complaints being registered.
I contacted Acer on X (Twitter) and through email. Acer has clearly shifted responsibility to Indkal and said the product/ service is handled by them.
Meanwhile, my grandparents have suffered badly in 44ยฐC
summer heat without AC, after paying full amount for a brand new unit. At home I am constantly being blamed because I was the one who ordered it online.
I want to take legal action for deficiency in service and harassment, and seek replacement/repair plus compensation (thinking of claiming 2 lakhs).
Indkal office is in HSR Layout, Bengaluru.
My questions:
1. Best cost-effective legal route? Consumer court? Legal notice first?
2. Can I file myself without expensive lawyer fees?
3. Whom should I include – Indkal only, or Acer too?
4. Any lawyer / consumer activist references in Bengaluru?
5. Realistic timeline for resolution?
I have screenshots, emails, complaint IDs and proof of follow-ups.
Any genuine suggestions appreciated.
